Always something going on

King Raze - The Monsterlings

   My brain, my brain, my brain, it wont let me go to sleep.  It just keeps me awake giving me all of it's so-called plans and demands. It's always telling me what to do like I don't have a choice. "Hey you, get up I got an idea!" It says to me at 3:30 am.  Well I wont take it anymore!  I'm going to build a wall around it and it's going to be beautiful, and I'm going to make all my bad ideas pay for it!  I wont let anymore wild and crazy ideas in unless they are extremely vetted of course.  Especially at 3:30 am.  I just wont stand for it!

  If only being a Hyper-creative were that easy.  It's a persistent problem that I actually enjoy, yet hate at the same time.  I enjoy the fact that creative ideas flow through my head all times, I just wish they wouldn't wake me up at 3:30 am gnawing and clawing at my skull for freedom.

Ok, so I created a new Monsterling character to go with the continuing story of these little guys.
The little monster above is a Grubling named Raze, in fact he is King Raze. King of all Grublings, mostly because he made the other Grublings and now sort of controls them.  He also can control insects and can turn a beautiful flowered garden into a fetid swamp with his green toxic nuclear fireball that he spits from his mouth, yea it's pretty gross.

  Anyway, he's quite the bad guy in the Monsterlings' story, and you will meet many more characters over time as I present this project and continue to work on it.

  So back to drain the brain of a few more new ideas and then it's off to work.

  Keep those ideas flowing and don't let sleep, food, or even an outside-the-skull life get in the way of a good creative brain drain.

Welcome to my Wraith Blaahhhg, haha!

   O K, this is where I spew my art works and words of wisdom upon you, better get an umbrella, raincoat, and a couple rolls of visqueen, maybe a pair of galoshes while you are at it, and don't track that smelly stuff into the house! I'll also be giving you my art pointers and pipeline that I personally do when completing a project. First off, I never went to art school for my art, I'm basically self-taught in everything I do.  So if it doesn't jibe with the corporately-taught way of doing things, oh well...  there are a few ways to skin the cat should we say and this is my way. I may also rant on how artists are treated professionally on occasion, especially when that artist is me, or friends of mine. Living in beautiful Pompano Beach, Florida I am close to the main hubs of the Southeastern Art World and there comes a stinketh from below. We will get to that later. Testing... 123... Testing...

Wraith     I think I spend most of my day on contract work testing animations prior to going to final renders.  It can be a real pain when you are trying to get a job out on a designated deadline and yet you still need approvals on motion prior to going forward with the final output.   Plus, you have to make sure that the renders look great not only in the motion, but also lighting, textures and what not.   Most of the time you end up with surprises if you don't test which can later lead to reanimation and re-renders.   No fun.   Rendering alone can take up to 2-4+ minutes a frame sometimes. Yes, you can do small renders without textures, lights and so on, but there are still possible issues that may occur that you didn't see doing them that way.   I do on occasion render like that, but I prefer the full on approach, I don't want any surprises at all....
